Dr. David Helfman, CEO

Dr. Helfman earned his doctorate at William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. His surgical residency was completed at Vencor Hospital, Georgia Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in Atlanta. Dr. Helfman is board certified in forefoot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and board certified in podiatric orthopedics by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics. As a foot and ankle surgeon, Dr. Helfman began practicing in 1992 in Smyrna, Georgia when he founded Village Podiatry. His professional appointments include serving as a staff surgeon for Emory Adventist Hospital in Smyrna and as editor of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery Preferred Practice Guidelines. Dr. Helfman is an active board member for Signature Bank and Trust in Sandy Springs.

John Minahan, CFO

John Minahan, a CPA and entrepreneurial Chief Financial Officer with 25+ years of advanced experience in new business development, strategic leadership, business turnaround, sales & marketing, and team building strategically growing multiple multi-million dollar start-up ventures from concept to full implementation coupled with cross-cultural business expertise. Minahan has worked for both private and public companies. Industry experience includes healthcare, technology, marketing & advertising, and international distribution. His media company was recognized by Inc. 500 in 2009 as the 4th fasting growing media agency and 20th fastest growing company overall. As Chief Financial Officer of Extremity Healthcare Incorporated, John has worked to help create a world class multi-specialty company. He oversees Finance, IT, M&A, and Revenue Cycle Management.

Dr. Mitchell Hilsen, CMO, COO

Dr. Mitchell Hilsen is a graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens. His doctorate was earned at Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence. Dr. Hilsen completed a two-year surgical residency at St. Michael Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio where his training included comprehensive foot and ankle surgery, clinical and hospital patient care, and wound care. He furthered his training through an additional one-year Surgical Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery in Marietta, GA. Dr. Hilsen has a special interest in sports medicine, being an avid tennis player and golfer. His knowledge encompasses the newest technology and procedures including radio-frequency therapy for plantar fasciitis. In 2011, Dr. Hilsen was appointed to serve as Chief Medical Officer for Village Podiatry Centers and its holding company, Extremity Healthcare, Inc.
