Dr. Mitchell-Smith is a native of Conway, South Carolina. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Spelman College in Atlanta. She then earned her doctorate at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Mitchell-Smith completed her surgical residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center/Germantown Medical Hospital in Philadelphia.
In 2005, she joined the staff of Village Podiatry Centers in Atlanta. In her clinical practice, Dr. Mitchell-Smith provides foot and ankle treatment for all ages.
Her areas of special interest include primary podiatric care of all ages, including the treatment of ingrown toenails, diabetic-related foot conditions and many other conditions. Dr. Mitchell-Smith treats foot and ankle diseases that are common in the elderly, such as diabetic neuropathy, nail infections, arthritis pain, and vascular disease.
