John Ruch, DPM

Dr. Ruch is an accomplished surgeon widely recognized for his advanced skills. He pioneered the application of AO Screw Fixation in the foot in 1976, techniques that are taught to virtually all podiatric surgical residents across the country. Dr. Ruch receives patient referrals from foot and ankle surgeons from throughout the United States and many foreign countries.

Dr. Ruch has authored numerous medical articles and textbooks, and has been a major contributor to McGlamry’s Comprehensive Textbook of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He has participated as an educator and lecturer in hundreds of medical courses throughout the U.S. and Europe. Dr. Ruch previously served as Director of Residency Training at Northlake Medical Center. He is currently Director of Medical Education for The Podiatry Institute, an internationally recognized teaching foundation for reconstructive foot and ankle surgery.
