Dr. Barrett received his undergrad in Psychology/Pre-Med from University of Utah and went on to receive his Doctorate from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, Chicago, IL. Dr. Barrett is board certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery. He is also board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine.
He is an adjunct Professor at Midwestern University College of Health Sciences and Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Barrett has published 29 articles in peer reviewed medical journals, authored several chapters in medical textbooks, and has also co-authored a textbook on the interpretation of Neurosensory testing. His most recent textbook: “Practical Pain Management for the Lower Extremity Surgeon”. He is the president of the Association of Extremity Nerve Surgeons, a national multidisciplinary organization dedicated to the study and surgery of peripheral nerve. Dr. Barrett received the Jules Tinel, M.D. award in 2010, which is the highest award granted by the nerve society.
