Dr. La'Genia Mitchell-Smith Joins Macon Office
We are pleased to welcome Dr. La'Genia Mitchell-Smith to our Macon, Georgia office located at 3556 Riverside Drive. Dr. Mitchell-Smith is a native of Conway, South Carolina. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Spelman College in Atlanta. She earned her doctorate at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her surgical residency was completed at Albert Einstein Medical Center/Germantown Medical Hospital in Philadelphia.
In 2005, Dr. Mitchell-Smith joined Village Podiatry Centers. She was appointed Medical Director of the Senior Care Division managing the foot and ankle healthcare of patients in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
In her new role in the Macon office, Dr. Mitchell-Smith provides treatment and surgery for all foot and ankle conditions including heel pain, bunions, sports injuries and diabetic foot problems. She accepts most insurance plans and Medicare. Dr. Mitchell-Smith treats children and adults with a special interest in geriatric foot care. In addition to her office-based practice, Dr. Mitchell-Smith provides nursing home podiatry services at Laurel Baye Healthcare in Macon.
