Village Podiatry Renames to Reflect Leadership Status
Smyrna, GA (June 23, 2008) – June 1 was the official launch of Village Podiatry Group’s name change to Village Podiatry Centers. The renaming more accurately reflects the practice’s status as Atlanta’s leading podiatric practice with 19 offices providing comprehensive care.
Village Podiatry Centers is unique in both size and range of care. Treatment is provided for all ages and all conditions – from heel pain to complex reconstructions. Each of the 23 podiatric physicians is a skilled surgeon with ten or more years of dedicated training. The group further stands apart in that each physician is an active surgical instructor. Members of the medical staff are nationally recognized surgical innovators and medical textbook authors. Their reputation has established Village Podiatry Centers as an international referral center for the most complex foot and ankle cases.
Advanced technology is another hallmark for Village Podiatry Centers. Patient care is enhanced with digital X-ray, vascular studies and high-field Extremity MRI. The group’s physicians provide surgical care at two, state-of-the-art foot and ankle surgery centers and numerous Atlanta hospitals.
“The demand for podiatric care is increasing due to the growth of a population that is both active and aging,” said CEO, Dr. David Helfman. “Our goal is to meet this demand by continuing to grow while delivering the highest level of medical and surgical care.”
Village Podiatry Centers was founded in Atlanta in 1992 and currently employs over 120 clinical and administrative staff. The corporate office is located at 300 Village Green Circle in Smyrna, GA.
